Does it have the idler pulley (which runs the SC belt)? I'm going to ask tomorrow for a price if not.

It will but they do tend to go and when fitting all that you have you might as well get a new one.

!!UPDATE!! Went down to see Nick and the gang today. All is well and the engines are real and correct. I've paid and had mine put aside. If you want to have me collect it then when ringing up tell them to put it with Stuart's order. Tensioner pulley (not included) is £30 ontop of engine price. So when ordering tell them you want one and it'll be fitted. Please continue pm'in me with your name and collection options. Cheers

Out of interest, do they give you an invoice with the engine number on? You'll need some proof to give to DVLA to update the V5C details.

I have an invoice with the engine number but I think you mean uneak engine code stamped near the oil filter housing? In which case no. I'm sure however they can create an invoice stating that number. Would I need to tell the Dvla about a new engine if I'm keeping it 2.2?

Is not engine number on the V5C, the DVLA certainly know it so one would expect so yes

Yeah, I had to jump through some hoops to get my engine number updated after I replaced the bottom end with a donor block. I guess it's unlikely that anybody would ever check, especially given the lack of access to the number when fitted to the VX. But I wanted everything legitimate on the paperwork just in case insurance/police/whatever ever paid close attention.....

Mr monkey:

The engine (also the dutch ones) comes without a startermotor.

Mine from the Z22se has done many miles, so i would like to put in a fresh one.

Oem's are silly expensive, but if the neo bro's pulled a big box of those out of trollhättan also, i would be interested, and maybe more people with me.

Would you be so kind to ask your contact about (new) saab starters?

Apreciated chinky chinky

I notice they have removed the Saab crank sensor, so that will need an additional blank for the 2.0 conversion
