If this will be your first map from peter Can I have a copy of the base map please We will have to find somewhere to get cams from

With pleasure (assuming you know how to share this, I haven't a clue) but I will be Harroping so I assume the base map may be different..? Unless the Harrop base map is what you want...?
Not initially I will only be using m62 to start with Until somone comes up with a good modification to keep the IAT down

That's exactly my idea. Standard B207 engine with M62 and ODBtuner.

Some are experimenting with water injection succesfully, which might be a future step. I just don't like the idea of adding an other system to car...

I've been driving with Dutch software for 3 years now and obviously will keep it.

The Z22SE ignition coil has just been modified to fit the B207 rocker cover as the coils are not compatible.

The easier way is to put the Z22SE rocker cover on the new engine, but I prefer the flat looks of the B207 one.

I am changing the engine to 2.2 and changing rods and pistons for any future developments

So you are running it as a regular 2.0-litre B207 then?

And you have an external trigger wheel also - where did you get this from, Hitech? Is there anything else that needs done, save for the ignition coil modifcation already mentioned, to make all this work?

Has anyone found where a external trigger can be sourced from yet?

Not as such, someone (maybe me when I find the time) needs to speak to Welshiejon on here. I'm confident that someone will be able to make one if we can't pick one up off the shelf from somewhere.

It'll stay 2.0 ltrs / M62 with a light flywheel to make it happily reving.

I believe the crankpattern and the coils are the only things that should stay Z22SE for the ECU.

The idea in my case is to take the bolted B207 triggerwheel out and replace it with one with the Z22SE pattern.  Unfortunately this triggerwheel has no GM partnumber, so will be home made and has therefore an experimental character. Bear in mind, the cranck shaft has to be taken out of the brandnew engine. new stretch bolts etc... there are easier ways... :glare:

The external triggerwheel from Hitec is on order as a back up plan.

As Techieboy mentioned, the flywheel has a different bolt pattern.

Graeme, if you get in contact with HiTec, I'd also probably be interested in his trigger wheel and crank sensor bracket as we know he's got the timing on his version sorted.

I have just picked my b207 up. Obviously I will be needing the same adaptations as the rest of you so let me know if we are going to be group buying stuff.

Thanks to Artic and Chill for organising.

I´m also leaving it 2.0 with lighter flywheel, exhaust port flowed and some hitec goodies.

Then the harrop on, and see what happens.

Okay,

Assuming I manage to buy the B207 at the end of the month then I'll make contact and investigate whether we can do some sort of group buy/group deal.

Yeah, I'd like to buy a brand new one but at least I've got one sat here in the garage anyway. In all honesty, the bits will probably end up in the pile of shiny bits that already exists for the LSJ/HPTuners conversion and I'll do nothing with any of them.

If it'll help incentivise you, name a price for the one you have.
