I suppose it depends if the trigger wheel is adjustable, it would be nice to be able to set piston 1 + 4 to TDC and then set the trigger wheel so that the crank sensor is in the correct position.

The crank pulley has three threaded holes, so it could be spun around :)

Where did you mount your crank sensor on the Webcon conversion?

I assume TDC is the just visible line on the pulley and the mark on the timing chain cover at about 11 O'clock'ish?

that is probably the ideal position for the sensor, keeps it away from the drivebelt and tucked up away from the wishbone thumbsup

With the sensor so close to the trigger wheel, does that mean sensor off to change belt?

Yup, unfortunately so. Probably only one bolt to rotate the sensor bracket down though, by the look of it.

How many people bought these B207 engines in the end, seemed like a very good deal to me.

6 in NL/germany and probably the same isch  in UK.

I know hitec in germany also did around 5 of these conversions now.

Once the early adaptors have ironed out the challanges and all is clear, the second wave in 2014/15 will probably be bigger.

Looks like moving the sensor is going to be the best option, Lotus have changed the wishbone style/code no different than the NA fitment. The Turbo one is not going to work unless I can get one of the early ones.

Hey stu, Any news from Neos about possibly extending deadline on b207 buy? No problem if the answer is a no, just need to sort funds ASAP if that's the case. G

If you can place a non refundable deposit of half the cost, then they will hold the engine till end of November. At that point you pay the other half off. I think that's a fair offer considering its been extended 3months now. :) Hope that helps some of you who need to budgit funds. Again contact me to be put on the list that I'll send to them.

Excellent stuff Stu - that helps massively in my case. I'll drop you a PM for full details later if that's cool? And I owe you a beer or two for sorting. G

Wait til you start rennovating it. After four years we're nearly finished (if you ingore the garden).

You soon learn to make just enough time to come on here and spout though.
