bollocks, can't even sell you another heater if you've got chris's!

Chris, what now? Is this a Toby-unfriendly car cull?

Wouldn't have mattered which N/A I'd bought for that Tom; I already have one of your heaters on my desk at home (came from Steve A's car).

Coming to a classifieds near you soon...

I still have a brand new set of Eagle H-rods that where intended to upgrade my current Z22SE. Are the to any use on this engine (as I just ordered one)?

-edit- Nm, found the answer in this thread :beat:  Perfect for the 2.2 conversion.

I have just ordered three of the central alloy covers - 12787627, the coil packs will need modifying to fit the saab cam cover and the alloy covers will also need modifying to accept the coilpack amplifier

Not really sure why the new engines never came with them

can we not just fit the saab coil packs that were designed for this engine?

if so maybe worth seeing what price they are from same place if they have them

nah they are very different

2.2 = wasted spark (2 coils) with an electronic thing called compression sense ignition to find cam phase for injectors

2.0 = coil on plug (4 coils) with a cam sensor to find cam phase for injectors

Doesn't the Z22SE rocker cover fit on the engine?

it can, but you need z22se cams or cut down the LSJ cam, then make one of these and modify the bearing housing

and you also need to modify the saab cam cover like this

Posted Image

and the coilpack like this (the amplifier is missing but you get the idea), you also need to extend the springs inside the coilpack extensions by approx 10mm

IMPORTANT: please remember you cannot use z22se spark plugs in your saab engine, the z22se are taper seal plugs and the saab head uses flat washer seal plugs
