or just keep the b207 intact and run the trionic 8 ecu

Since most will be used with Superchargers, an LSJ ECU and loom would probably suit a bit better (I dunno anyone on here with this Trionic knowledge)

Or ask peter to offset the 2.0 trigger to match the 2.2

Can he do this  - I thought there had to be some physically different trigger wheel..?

Still tempted by one of these. Sell my existing 2.4 hybrid and go small pulley on a standard B207 engine with some cams.. Hmmm..

I'm sure he could if you gave him the information of how much the signal need to retard or advance the signal

Its not a timing thing though, its that a different trigger pattern is used - 7-1 (Z22SE) vs. 58-2 (B207 and newer GM engines).

There are no external trigger wheels available to make the 2.0 work with the z22se ECU and I strongly advise that anyone who buys one converts it to a 2.2, using the z22se crank, z22se conrods (steel) and 2.2 pistons (forged).   Or Z22YH pistons and rods, with a z22se crank for NA or ITBs   You should consider these as donor engines, to be fully stripped and the parts used to build a strong engine. I bin the 2.0 parts = pistons, rods, crank and cams

What do you mean with not available and why the advice to convert to 2.2? Whats wrong with the 2.0 + Ex.triggerwheel? Genuine question.

to save you having to find a calculator that equals £714 inc vat, plus delivery

Tempted to get one for the vx, need a gearbox though, and ecu

Nothing wrong with the 2.0 and external trigger, just you can make more power with the 2.2 displacement . (as with a 2.3 or a 2.4liter engine...)

Trionic 8 is beautifull, but no idea if it is now fully cracked.

Stock B207 internals, flowed head, Harrop supercharger plus the LSJ ecu; all still running strong.

you can get an internal 5+2 trigger wheel from the states to use on the 2.0 crank, so that the z22se ECU works okay. But I would strongly advise fitting some forged pistons and steel rods whilst it's apart, then the engine would be good for 400bhp.

But it would be cheaper to just swap the crank with a z22se and go Wiseco pistons and Eagle steel 2.2 rods

Can you post a link for the internal triggerwheel? As you can also use that as external...

Ok... question:

I recieved a new engine:
Posted Image

But it got this stamp on it wich says its an A20NFT engine:
Posted Image

The sticker on the valvecover says "B207".

According to wiki the a20nft is a new version and different then the "oldscool" b207's.

Is there just a wrong sticker on the engine or is it a real a20nft? Head and intake mani looks def like a b207.

A bit confused here.

Yes the GB stated it were b207e/l engines. Just wonderd how a20nft got on there since the nft is a complete different. Sended neo an email.
