BUMP Any news on the Kia Sedona boot...... does it fit?

C.V boot just gone ! Any idea how long they have been on back order?

I have the Sedona one in my garage.

I got a bit preoccupied with the One Direction Film, plus fitting the new collars and a few other jobs this weekend.

At worst I'll whip it out and photograph it next to a 12 inch ruler so that you can see.

I may get time to fit it this weekend...

Here is a picture of the Kia Sedona boot, as recommended by Techie. You may notice that my 12 inches is more like 4 (5 at a push).

Hmmm. But is <4 inches enough? It seems to be all I have.

Anyone tried a Lucas LKTB1002 , They are stretchy universal ones but are good quality. We've fitted many Lucas universal boots, non to a VX admittedly but they are certainly better quality than any first line products weve ever used (quite a few of that range too)

I cant be sure of the model number but I bought a Lucas CV boot on Friday from Eurocarparts as I needed one before the weekend.  It seemed to be a good match for the size and fitted easily.  But I did about 400miles yesterday half on track and I can already see some splitting on the tops of one of the convoluted sections.  Doesn't seem to be a long term option and I really was hoping I wasn't going to have to change it for a while.

Just got one of those Sedona's too and it looks quite spot-on next to an original VX boot. Did a quick fit and the big end fits nicely onto the CV housing. thumbsup

And quality wise? How does it 'feel' compared to the OEM boot?   Need to get a solution myself, so might order one of those too.

The Sedona boot that I bought "feels" good quality, though I confess I have no frame of reference. If anyone from the Essex region wants to come and have a feel they are welcome.

I might get to fit it this weekend.

It is an inner boot.

Right guys as it seems we are not going to get the OEM boots anytime soon... We have a number of options: Aftermarket Sedona boot OEM Sedona boot Or Nsx OEM boot Mike cliffe reckons I should go Kia Sedona OEM (better quality than aftermarket ) so I think I will defo go OEM for best quality! What I was wondering is should I go for the honda nsx part my thinking was that it will be honda so hopefully stronger better quality is there any reason why people are going for the Sedona boot? Stuwy - did the honda boot look similar to the OEM? I'm guessing it fitted okay?
