So I finally fitted my splitters today. If some eagle eyed person thinks they are not on straight, please keep it to yourself. Ignorance is bliss!

Innovative use of soft tennis rackets for a few extra inches, not the first time I've yearned for the length!

Good work, love the tennis racquet solution!

Hopefully will have some splitters on mine too soon - were they just 'bolt on'?

No, they bloody weren't bolt on! It was a 6mm drill bit after creating 6 x pilot holes with the dremel thing, then used some Halfords plastic scrivets to hold the lot in.

I wont lie, I was shitting myself when I was drilling the body! If anyone can mess up what looks like a simple job, that'll be me!

Good work Myles. They look nice. Are you ever going to give your wheels a wash though? :P

Well, having studied the damage to the TAT diffuser I bought from JG, I decided to fit it. It took me half an hour, which for a biff like me is admirable. All without instructions.

If you can spot the diffuser in my terrible pictures, good for you!

My only concern was that it was creased, in which case it may not have been repairable. To be fair to James, the pictures made the damage appear much worse than it actually was. It was hardly noticeable, apart from the gnarling on the edge(covered by the rubber strip) I do like a bargain!

No, thats directly replacing the OE plate.  I do fancy opening the gap between the clam and diffuser, any cheap and cheerful tips to do this?

Mate, that looks great. Wheels still need a feckin wash tho :D Have you actually washed the car since we went to the PH Luton meet a couple of months back :P Seriously, looking good my friend. You've obviously got the modding bug :)

Ha ha Rudy, I actually washed it last week on the last day of good weather. Within 24 hours it was as dirty as it ever had been! I did honestly forget the wheels were gloss finished, it had been that long!

I was lucky with the diffuser, it really does set the rear off as do the splitters on the front. They both break up the large flat areas at both ends.

I never realised how expensive the parts are for the VX, having come from the Impreza where every company makes parts for them. My next bargain purchase has to be the supercharger and all the extra bits. I can't see that happening any time soon.

That just makes them special :) 3-4k for stage 2, get saving!!! I'm getting mine done early next year, can't wait to hear that whine and enjoy an extra 100bhp :D

It certainly does feel special and no mistake!! My sons mates, who have some rather well to do parents, suggest its a Ferrari - but in a Vauxhall body!

Are you going to leave the plate on it? It makes sense now I know who the previous owner was.

I and Ryan (the last owner) are having fun synchronising out efforts to get the V5 transferred to me then the plate back to him! General DVLA mismanagement.

Diffuser looks ace! Proud to be British?

I am the third owner that has had those GB stickers behind their head! At least one is coming off, soon as well (I promise!!)
