How much for a quick crank?
Thats like a reverse auction between hookers!
(not that I know anything about JT or Ali's virtues!)

Unfortunately though I can't bob down as they are about 60 miles away and i'm currently using the bus to get around!
If you want a lift there so you can see it yourself just ask.

Righty, they've agreed to refund me £368.40 which is what I paid minus the carriage both ways. I can't be arsed going into any more with them so i've accepted it, i need to get my car on the road after being without it for 2 months now.
So the saga will start all over again, got to find an engine but I've got less money to play with than I started with. fcuking great.

I think that covers the distance selling laws, buyer has to pay postage but that is usually if you return something thats OK. Given they supplied a dodgy one you may have got a bit more out of them but I think you are right to cut your losses and avoid some stress. Let us know when the next spannering day is.

Just been catching up on your woe's have to say that doesn't really seem fair but may be not worth the fight. TBH if it was me, given the time of year I'd be look at a Z22SE powered Vectra or Astra for the winter as they cost about what you paid for an engine, then do a engine swap next spring and weight the rest of it in for scrap.Righty, they've agreed to refund me £368.40 which is what I paid minus the carriage both ways.
