I gave in today and pre-ordered GTA5 after much deliberating and being a follower of the GTA series since it came out on the PC in the 1997 I thought why not change my purchase habits and get it on release.

 

Anyone else pre-ordered this title?

I preordered a long time ago. I've not really got too excited about a computer game for years, but I can't wait to play this!
I read this earlier today... IGN hands on preview (it does contain info about 5 missions, so don't read if you don't want to know):

Great review/preview that, same here on the excitement. In most cases I'll hold off first day purchases given the price of the game drops so quickly but I think this one will definitely be worth the full price tag. Multiplayer actually looks good this time.

I gave in and pre-ordered it on Sunday from amazon  and I think it is the first game I have actually pre-ordered.Really looking forward to it as I have played every gta game released on the playstation and still occasionally play gta 4.

I'm not pre ordering it. Last time I pre-ordered a game, GT5, it came 3 days late and I kept walking by shops stocked full of it!

Cheapest online seems to be £40 now, no more £35 deals. Think I'll pick it up on the day too. Anyone know what shops are doing midnight opening?

I ordered mine on Amazon back in Jan, £35. I had an email recently saying it will be posted before release, to arrive on release day. Fingers crossed!

I've got a mate there too and I'm very glad I don't work there given the hours they've been putting in over the last few months! Looking forward to getting a mate back when it finally does launch.

Ah I only have one game on the list, for some reason they only have far cry 3 on Xbox but don't accept ps3 version

Yeah I've seen my mate pulling stupid hours on Facebook! Great reward to be involved in something so big though.

I'm gonna trade in about 99% of my PS3 games (maybe keep a racer) as this will be the last game I play on PS3 before upgrading to PS4.  Such a pity the PS4 isn't backwards compatible

I had email confirmation today from amazon that Gta 5 has been despatched  so I may even get it on Monday.I've not looked forward to game this much since GT5 came out.
