After a load of fruitless searching with local garages and beyond for standard fronts I am getting to the thought of new wheels and tyres all round.

Plenty of searching has been done on the site, but after all this I am still confused.  :-) is there one thread with all the options?

I am happy now with the current grip levels with the Bridgestones so only changing for looks and availability.

What recommended front tyres for normal road use, I use it for commuting as well so don't want to go with R888's or similar due to the lack of water clearance.

My fronts need replacement straight away but the back tyres are pretty good so could I mix the bridgestone backs with a different front?

What wheel options are there now?

Ideally in a dark matt colour, prefer few spokes as possible.

From my understanding I need (please correct where I get lost)

Front

Dia 16"

Width 7j

Offset/et 20 or 25

Tyres 195/50 16

Rear

Dia 17"

Width 7.5 or 8j

Offset/et 35

Tyres 225/40 17

thanks,

OP - don't forget, you can squeeze 195's on the OEM front rims!
