TBH, with the cost of second hand VX220 NA wheels (about £100 a set) I would be tempted to put the current ones away and buy a new set, that way you can put it back to standard. Removing the V also makes the lip of the clam much more likely to get stone chips.

I got the wheels done closer to home although i have used pps before and was happy with them..the guy i used has a place in the garmond does tyres exhausts etc and powder coating so as he was nearer and well i know him thought i would give him a shot..200notes all in and got 2 new front tyres for a not bad price too..woodton tyres is the name if your interested..sure we could have a meet some time..when the suns shining hopefully lol

That just what I was thinking about, bought a new set of Bridgestone from Camskills last week, can't find any old set of alloys for £100 yet!! The carbon fibre V looks nice any body else got any picture of the carbon V fitted??

Hi fez..inhave a scottybob carbon v amd on the website it says the v just bonds on top of the standard one...but the badge wont allow that unless you remove it first i think?have you done this ?just looking for some ideas as i was going to remove the clam and then the oem v and fit the carbon one somehow?

Put up a wanted add, I'm sure there are countless sets gathering dust in garages. Mine were next to the Mandarin one for the last year or so!

I wouldn't bother bonding over the original, the only reason it says that it because there aren't any internals to screw into (the OEM V has four or five holes for screws to attach to) I would suggest getting a tube of tigerseal and bonding in something to screw into the inside of the carbon V, either some balsa wood (it's hardwood so won't rot, but light) or threaded posts,

Yeah, they need a refurb but plan was always to refit them if I sold the car as the alloys I have are worth £500 off the car but probably not on.

 

That said, I'm not planning on selling the car :s
