Great cars :) Have you looked into insurance yet? Especially if considering upgraded ones. A lad had that problem when I was selling one of my Elises.

Insurance shouldn't be to much of a problem for a modded vxt :)

I'm hoping so, the only fly in the ointment is I'm 5 months into a multicar policy with Admiral so fingers crossed they'll be ok.

Admiral tend to be Turbo friendly, they categorically do not insure a supercharged VX though, so you should be fine, especially as the BMW is hardly cheap on insurance thumbsup

Bizarre isn't it! Btw I must say how refreshing it is to find a friendly forum, certainly beats the general gassing section on Pistonheads ;)

They don't seem to like substantial engine mods but my vx has all mods declared with them (exige suspension, remap, itg, exhaust, tubby splitters, stripes, splam grill) and I still only pay £250...mind you i'm really old.

Hi Herbs, welcome to .org, not heard anything so i'm guessing you've decided against the PX? I wasn't really looking at selling until i got looking at Z4M's and this px was offered. looks like this has fallen through so i will keep the car, spent lots on it now and with a house purchase coming up it'll be much cheaper to run than a Z4! I know my car isn't a complete stage 3, it was one of the older Courtenay stage 3/2.5 when they used Pace CC instead of the Pro Alloy ones. with regard to power figures it produces 253BHP and i must say i've never felt the clutch really struggle...

Strange I have 3 cars on a multi with admiral and pay just light of 200 for the NA 😀 Clean licence fault accident 4 years ago protected ncb but I am getting on a bit 😊 We pay just over 550 for 2.0 alfa 156. / 2.5 mondeo and the NA Sometimes getting old has its benefits just seem to forget what they are 😃
