I was talking to a lotus owner and Jez at BoT last month about trackday liability , and his elise was T boned there by an idiot driver that the marshalls did nothing about all day despite numerous complaints.

That's the only infamous accident (AM driver driving like a cnut all day until that) that has been at Bedford. Safety record is as good or better there than at any other circuit in the UK.

You lot are a bunch of doom and gloom merchants arent you! I thought Bedford was always raved about as a safe circuit.

Anyway, ignore that lot and add your name to the list

I totally agree Martin, however I did have my one and only minor shunt there with a Fiat Punto. It was my first trackday I think. And I also witnessed a roll over along the pit lane once.

Pity I can't make this due to a holiday. Mind you the last time I went I was sent home after 20 mins for noise. I'm not sure my Tullet is as quiet as it should be now either so it could be asking for trouble.

Theres a lot more knowledge about db reducers now and think we all have to have something like that as all tracks are getting heavier on noise limits now.

If I can pass Bedford (fingers crossed) pretty sure I'll be ok anywhere now whereas I was failing 105db drive by a short while ago.

Seem to remember, years back, a Noble spinning off at the beginning of the pit straight followed by a VX spinning out in the same place and taking out the Noble ... :o Apart from that I always found it very safe. thumbsup

I think there was a few VX'ers present the day someone parked it backward in the pitlane exit , inches away from a car going out.

Stop coming up with tales of woe and sign up. If we listed places where there had been offs we'd never go anywhere.
