Can these be removed without the need to remove all the surrounding padding, the pieces I mean are the two pieces in each door which are held on with the window winder and the door opening handle.

Or is it simpler just to take the whole lot off? Ideally I want to pop them off, get them tidied up, put them back on again.

You have to remove the two silver plastic trims to get the main door card off. So, yes, they come off separately and no need to disturb the vinyl covered door card.

Agree with Techi. You only need to remove the outer trim if you need to remove the door release handles.

I refitted the large silver trim using velcro.

KInd regards, Paul

undo the four bolts for the window winder then the single bolt for the winder rear piece, pull off the door card that is held on by fir tree fasteners or Velcro if someone's already changed it, then unscrew the 2 scrivets for the door triangle and carefully remove the triangular card around the door release. The triangle part has a l-shaped tab at its front edge that hooks around the door trim (if it hasn't already snapped off). Existing silver paint might react with new paint and might need to be stripped. It's black plastic underneath.

Originally silver carbon wrapped my door cards and the triangle and left the bit inside the triangle black plastic after taking the silver paint off it with some white spirit and a finger nail. Looked really good but then painted it as the tight corners on the similarly wrapped dash plates kept eventually lifting and couldn't face having to keep re-wrapping it. Now it's all grey enamel painted.

Thats dipped I would have thought? You wouldnt get the vinyl to wrap that well? This is how my dash plates look using the dip process, thinking of the same for the doors

Good work, must have been 3m or hexis vinyl? Can only just see the joins, nicely hidden! I do use vinyl on simple flat surfaces but hydro graphics give a much better finished, although more expensive. To do my two dashplates was £55.

The problem with vinyl and complex shapes is the amount of stretching you have to do, so the pattern gets really distorted.
