It's all in the technique in my view, but each to their own. Luca has seen my stuff first hand so can comment independently. My stuff has fooled the dealers regularly. BMW guy thought my 135 was an M3 cos of the roof :)

The roof is tricky, you need two people ideally. Don't get me wrong, I have wrapped a lot of stuff, I vinyl wrapped door grabs, rear strut, steering wheel on my Zed. Just having used the aqua dipping approach it gives a more realistic feel to it as vinyl will always feel like vinyl whereas the aqua graphics will have a smooth lacquer on it.

But I do get frustrated with vinyl when you get the distortion from the heat and stretch process like on that handle pic...

But the prob with dip is You can't easily remove it You have to key the part The weave won't 'move' And real carbon distorts like the wrap so it's more real

If your doing something like camo though I totally agree, dipping is best for that. Carbon dips look like herringbone to me...

Neither look like the real thing, in all honesty.

I disagree, I think people are just used to that 3M dinoc rubbish. If you hold a genuine part next to it then it looks different but I posted pics of my wing mirrors on here and people thought they were real. The issue is that move wraps don't move properly.
