canopen is a stupid way of implementing it thats all... you have an ID field in the overall message yet with canopen they chuck the ID into the 8byte payload too, twunts.

The ford way (well volvo way) is actually really really good :)

Engine open, and trigger wheel swap is the cleanest option.
One of the germans posted this yesterday, bought from a tuner.

Somebody just needs to bite the bullet and get one made (with option for multiples in the future).

The costs would then be custom trigger wheel, new studs, gasket and depending on skill; labor.

Ehhhh, you forgot that we made Dominique's B207 engine like that? ;)

But involves quite some work with complete disassembly of the engine, all new toque bolts etc...

Yeah but Dom seems to have a lot of cool stuff made one off by a friend of a friend doing him a favor.

And these guys probably need a dozen of them.

@The rest: hitec also does internal trigger conversions, so someone could contact them for  quote.

the fabrication was a one off (well, actually 2... ), but all made according a design drawing. :-) ps, triggerwheel was the only sourced-out item. ;-)

Sorry for OT

Have been told that the head of the B207R engines now offered/sold have been changed compared to the version sold in the last batches.

Any confirmation/comment?

I am running ngk bkr8iex No need to change the gap. It is small enough (I think 0.7mm)

Saab heads require flat washer spark plugs, not the z22se items

To be honest they should still be fine on the brand new saab engines from the group buy last year  thumbsup

As above, but see how you go. If you get stuttering/misfires then gap them down.

Was recommended 7-8mm, went with 7.5 and no more problems
