same as mine
may be on a smaller pulley
and exhaust

So same 2.2 engine, same Harrop 1320;
3.1" pulley vs. smaller (2.9"?)
Probably some diferences in porting work/head/cam flow
Bill maybe on a bigger 3" exhaust system
Max Torque 290Lb.ft vs 400Lb.ft ?? (That's ~540Nm! I saw Z20LET engines needing ~2 bar turbo boost to get to those torque levels... )
Bill maybe on a 100 shot of Nitrous? Or running on E85 or a very efficient water/meth injection that allows him to run way more advance than our engines??

the engines are virtually twins
to my knowledge no water meth or nitrous
he running slightly more ignition than me but not a lot more but does run leaner

So should have around the same power then. There will be some diferences due to more ignition advance, but if the exhaust system is not causing too much restriction for the power level, the main power adder is simply the Supercharger flow. (assuming your tune is not seriously flawed...)
So for 400 ft.lb, he will basically need to run a 2.25" pulley and the same engine efficiency as yours...
(Smallest Harrop pulley I have is a 2.7". Want to borrow? )

Not being nasty but I don't believe that bill is running this and the dyno being used has got to be miles out. Chills engine is the same along with 3 inch exhaust and this make chills look like he has a m62 bolted to achive the power. The torque is just crazy for that spec engine.

To be fair Luke, you're not the only one to be surprised by the torque levels on this dyno... If I didn't know better (and hadn't specifically asked the question) I'd have said there was some confusion between lb ft and Nm.
That said, the dyno is used for lots of other cars so susprised the Ford boys (who use it a lot) haven't raised concerns?

In fact, Sam told me that if anything their dyno under-reads slightly...
Just found this on the interweb somewhere " it was as fast as other tuners bigger claimed hp kits so don't be fooled the jamsport dyno only giving you 350 other dynos would read quite alot more bhp for your kit! enjoy"
Regardless, the best way for us to sort all this out (bear in mind, not everyone fully believes the Dutch software figures either) is to have a proper rolling road shoot out with all the different cars in the same place on the same day.
Not that the willy-waving matters. It's what you do with that power, not how much you've got, that counts...

I know those dutch MAHA rollers are pretty spot-on for their claimed power figures and that day there were also some stock engined cars (some newer OPC zafira's, a C20XE and a few 3.0 24v's) on the rolers that were measured very close to the factory claimed power.
So when doing a VX220 RR day, make sure you also roll a stock car to "calibrate" the dyno figures...

Northampton Motorsport has an accurate rolling road, we had two 'known' bhp cars on the RR day, one had 180bhp and recorded 182 and the other 240bhp and recorded 241bhp.
My old 2.2 NA engine made 218.8 bhp there
