they are just stronger single springs, which probably do the same job, just in a different way

But the supertech ones are the ones you would fit Neil if it were your own engine?

the Dbilas website says none required for their springs
I know that the Schrick double valve springs require the head to be machined

When I purchased mine the only real choice was Schrick or Supertech
Knowing that the mad doc had to modify the heads for TMS when they used the schrick cams I chose the Supertech
But to answer your question if I was to build myself another cylinder head I would still use the Supertech, because they work well - okay as long as you use the Saab roller rockers with more clearance or modify the steel versions
