Hi folks, up for sale is my VX220 which I've owned since April 2011. I performed a SC conversion on it, completed and fully mapped February 2012. I would rate the condition of that car as good mechanically, and decent - average for interior / exterior condition. The car has proved very reliable since I owned it, with only the odd electrical gremlin affecting reliability. No issues with the SC conversion itself. I will try and describe the car as accurately as possible.

Not so good bits...

 

Cosmetically, the front end is suffering from stone chips, there is some paint blisters on the doors, although these have been touched up and are not severe. There is some minor orange peel effect just in front of the rear spoiler, and some minor paint bubbling near the rear bumper-clam seem. The rear took a parking speed knock last year which meant the passenger rear was repaired and painted. The paint match is good, but not perfect (can be difficult with red), although it doesn't take away from the car IMO. There is the odd scratch here and there representative of a car of this type and age.

 

The interior has (the usual) wear to the drivers side seat bolster and sill. The heater unit was removed and 'sealed' with replacement ducting, and clears the windscreen, but is hardly a furnace.. The passenger side window also clunks over bumps when half down (always done this).

 

 

I am located in Aberdeen, but I'm down in central belt Scotland on a fairly regular basis incase its of any use to anyone considering the car.

 

Pleased to answer any queries on the car. I will get pictures of the car up very soon. Not interested in a PX. Selling due to general lack of use.

Thanks Tom. I am also flexible on that price (within reason). As I can't alter the ad spec, the car also has AP 300mm alloy bell front discs, a mk2 uprated heater unit, and a leather center console.

It was me yes! Saw you out the corner of my eye as you went past, didn't get a chance to wave..

 

As Techie said, I done the conversion myself, so if you're considering it yourself, can give you some tips / show you around the car.

Nice to see another going about - I've only seen one before in/around Aberdeen, a blue Turbo.

 

SC conversion is something I've thought about but not overly seriously as yet. Would be interested to know roughly what the cost (assuming DIY) is/was, but perhaps that's a question for a PM/new thread!
