Dibs on the wreck, a bit of glass and it'd be fine.  :D

WOW so sorry about the VXR!

Not sorry you walked away, just gobsmacked after seeing the pictures!

Hope you weren't driving in the wet!

Sorry to hear about this but glad you're ok.

Speaking from personal experience I'm still not fully recovered from my VX crash.

I wasn't hurt at all and the damage wasn't as bad as this. In fact mine was very similar to the SSSF video on YouTube.

However the thing that has got me is that I don't know why it happened. I wasn't pushing my luck, no diesel, leaves or excessive water. Because I can't identify the cause I can't put it to bed. In reality it is like most incidents/accidents. They're caused by many small factors aggregating in a way that they don't normally. Normally you get away with it and then out of the blue this sort of thing happens.

What stays with me the most is when I got home after it my wife said to me "well it's gone now and you're ok so I can say this...I'm glad it's gone, those cars are deathtraps and it was an accident waiting to happen".

Lucky for me I have my old NA to climb back into which has never missed a beat on its limits and off for many years of very good fun driving. Jan loves it but was not happy with the VXR, she is glad it's gone without injuring me, her or anyone else while at low speed rather than doing similar on a run at high speed, she may have a point. I loved the VXR stage 4. Would I have another ? No I don't think I would. Not sure I see the point of all that power on the road if you have to think wheel spin all the time, it was awesome while it lasted. Maybe ok for a driver better than me who can read road conditions ever second and back off and crawl along in it for half its life. Possibly traction control is the answer, bit late for me
