Holy crap! Glad you walked away ok mate. I hope they investigate why the barrier behaved like that as well and not just the cause of the spin. The barrier should be there to minimise the chance of harm yet it seems to be the most dangerous here!
...all of the above.
There's no way the car should have squeezed under the armco. So close to a real nasty outcome.

really glad you walked away pretty much injury free
I dread to think what would have happened if your car had a pattern part crashbox fitted, I somehow think you wouldn't be posting here today

Cant believe your still alive! Glad your safe!!
If a newbie had come on the forum and smashed his car up a few weeks later everyone would of jumped on him with abuse and comments of should of got driver training etc. Got to love .org double standards.
I don't agree about the double standards. Ghand has been driving a vx for years and one of the best drivers I know. So why would we waste our breath on advising him to get driver training? Do you honestly think driver training could have avoided this?
It is not exactly the same as a newbie situation.
All we should focus on is that one of our own has thankfully walked away from a terrible crash and leave other debatess to one side.
Mani
I think if the guy's on here elude to someone's driving ability, then that should be how we all see it, I guess they know the driver personally not just over the web. And we don't need to bother looking for assumptions, some of us are old enough to know a few people who have had accidents & assumed the reason & been off the mark; that's why it's called an accident!

Gordon isn't someone i just know over the web. I have met him loads of times and will no doubt see him plenty more times in the future. It wasn't a dig at him, it was a comment about how normally people who have accidents get shot down on here. I was simply amused that when someone who's popular on here stuffs it then its all ok and it must of been a toe link failure etc. Stuwys thread jumps to mind as someone who flies around a corner he didn't know and hits an innocent motorist, most people would get destroyed on the forum but that wasn't the case as he's popular.
It doesn't matter how Gordons accident happened and as you say its an accident. Im just glad he's ok!

No problem George I now what your getting at, I suppose it's more natural to slag a stranger than a mate, at the end of the day it's done. I blew it but was lucky enough to stroll away and am A1 as we speak with just a little scratch. If it makes others ease of in bad conditions for a while then that's good And I still have the awesome NA a proper carGordon isn't someone i just know over the web.
