I have done the same as Mick and put a filter at the top, it looks fantastic. The job is a bit fiddly but once you have the right size pipe!( not in diy section :beat: )It will not take you too long. :D

Just done the mod myself. Hose I used was 11mm bore. It was a bit tight on the gearbox but, after warming the hose in boiling water it went on ok. I found a Filter similar to Mick's in our local Motorist Discount Centre (the one with the orange signs) which slid over the pipe. The lad in the shop was kind enough to undo the packaging and let me try it on my hose for a good fit. I secured both ends with Jubilee clips. All that's left to do is manufacture a bracket to hold the Filter somewhere. Pipe £2.99 and Filter £9.99. :D

Will somebody up date the diy section as there is no mention of pipe size. The hole is 10mm. :poke: :D

Excuse my ignorance. But where is this pipe, as I may do some track stuff soon and guess I better do as you have and sort this out. How bad is it if you dont do it, on an NA. Martin s

Well if it's any consolation I haven't done mine as it doesn't seem to do it Maybe try it on track first, you'll know about it soon enough as the back of the car will be covered in an oil film

That's a relief! :D

On the last session at Hock., when we came out of the S bend onto the Parabolica, you dumped loads of oil all over my screen

Mine is always covered in oil at back left after tracking it – suppose I'll have to do this mod too. Gary's and Mick's mods look very neat with the filters.

Mick using "oil screen tactic" to blind the opposition :P :
