Agreed, I was also in the wrong for not waiting for consent. The trouble was that very few were giving consent all day and the track was at capacity (so backing off to create space wasn't really an option as you get stuck behind someone else...).Is over taking not meant to be on the straights by consent only.? No one's perfect in that video.

Not sure but there was a constant queue in the pits with a 1 in 1 out approach. How many did they run on track at a time?Agreed, I was also in the wrong for not waiting for consent. I should point out that I posted the vids to show how much fun we had and for the other vx'ers to see their cars on track - it wasn't the intention to highlight the poor etiquette of the day (I've got plenty more footage without vx's to do just that).
Some great driving there Mr Vimes. You would of loved Pembury this year as its a similar track to brands. its just so easy to exploit the NA's abilities as you haven't got to balance power in bends like you do SC and turbos. With one less thing to do you can focus on your lines and braking which clearly rewards the NA when done right.
Thanks Pembury does look fun but it's a long old trek unless you make it a long weekend. I enjoyed Donignton national circuit in the NA too as it's got some nice sweeping curves and camber changes.

As said, there was little mention of having to use indicators to let people know they could passin the breifing and the pre track chat was over so fast we couldnt even raise it like we would normally. From the very off no one (except vx's and the odd mx5) indicated and it became clear that if there was space and they were over to the right then they were giving you permission (you hoped!).
As mentioned for the prices a Lot day is easily the way to go. I won the day at the National and hence why I did this one, and despite all the downsides we all had a great day.
Forgot to say before how great (and brave) Lizzy was to do her first trackday on a damp cold 'lively' day at Brands.Top job. Looking forward to seeing her on track again.

I only went there as it was for the national (long weekend) with fellow VX'ers.I should point out that I posted the vids to show how much fun we had and for the other vx'ers to see their cars on track - it wasn't the intention to highlight the poor etiquette of the day (I've got plenty more footage without vx's to do just that).

Nice driving sir. So frustrating watching those twats in M3s not letting quicker drivers through. Goes to show yet again that a well driven VX is a match for most things.

nice to drive in a big mix of stuff , the LoT days are good , but you always hope someone has brought something special along. I enjoyed myself , 3 abreast down Cooper straight into Surtees is fun.
the whole overtake with consent can make a Tday a bit sterile. If someone is driving unaware in the middle of the track, you won't get indicated past regardless of the rules.
