Yup, still working on premise of potential group buy Martin, though not hopeful.

Planning on updating whether its a go or no, later today.

Oh! Just bought a set as thought there was no deal possible just the winter sale.

Good luck though.

There most likely isn't a chance to be honest, but worth a direct phone call to see.

So did you go for a black set?

And you're right Martin,

No chance of any extra discount for group buy.

So everyone's on their own. Now all I gotta do is decide between silver and black...

Depends on what you decide to do for a colour choice on the body.

Yeah, that isn't decided yet.

Possibly dark and moody.

I'm leaning towards silver at the mo.

Hmm. I did make Luca a much reduced offer on those but no go. So have now ordered a new set. I've bought silver ones which I plan to have painted in anthracite. So what tyres are folks going to get with these wheels? I'm thinking road/ track compromise on mine as I will only be running these 1 set of wheels for road & track. So thinking AD08. 205/45r17 and 235/40r17. Can be got for around £600. Just trying to find 1 retailer that has them all available. I can find some online retailers with fronts but no rears and vice versa. What are people going for?

Not sure, though if I can get them in the right sizes I'll prob aim for R1-R as they seem like a decent compromise. Either that or a set of Yokos as you say.

I also went with silver, leaving me the option to paint them at a later date. thumbsup

I've ordered a set of black ones. Now I'm thinkin of putting Federal RSR's on them in 235/40/17 rears and 215/40/17 fronts. Should be OK for ABS.

The car is on stock suspension. Do these tires fit without rubbing? Read that RSR's are a bit wider then marked i.e. 235 is more 248 wide and 215 is 219.

Thanx!

Fronts might be an issue.

205/45/17 + 235/40/17 Or 215/45/17 + 245/40/17 The later keeps the ratio front to rear closest to OEM, mix them and it will be quite a long way out, potentially causing ABS probs. I ran the later since 2010 on DTC's with not one abs ice mode moment or any other prob.

215/45/17 888's on front do rub a bit on full lock. 215/40/17 should be fine only one way to know for sure.

Hi Crabash.

thanx for the respond. Thing is the RSR's start at 215/40 or 215/45 for fronts and 235/40 or 255/40 for rears. 215/45 would be my choice (closest to OEM) if I knew for sure they dont rub. Hence my first choice of 215/40 for the extra space...

They will rub but its not much and sometimes its as simple as removing the central scrivet on wheel arch liner, tyre dependant. I was thinking of trying 205/45 + 235/40 but as stated before you restrict choice more with those sizes. I went through 3 rears and 2 fronts on 888's, jst had ADO8R's fitted but yet to drive car with them on. Google tyre calc and put sizes in that to confirm oem ratio with your intended tyres.
