Matt black is very 2008. If anything it should be cheaper than its equivalent counterparts. This is one special edition that wasn't very special at all.

Stunning car but £40K you would have to be mad to pay that for it.

This might sound daft but thats relatively high mileage for a car priced to aim at a collector. Should do 35 though.

the seats are the best bit of the car IMO were something silly like £2.5k each. when you purchased the car they gave you special cloths to clean

the matt paintwork. Think with the new exige out now this won't move very fast for the price.

I always think how Heath Robinson those retaining screws on the Exige side intakes look.  They really should have done better for cars that cost that much.

Talking of screws I was driving past an X5 on the way home tonight, can't remember what engine, doesn't really matter but it must have cost more than £50k. Had the ridiculous M wheels and those arch extensions. The car was white and even driving past on the motorway I could see the black screws in the arch that bolted them on. I just wouldn't be happy with that, made it look very halfords.

£40K!  It must be me, driving my 'poor mans' car, but that is not worth 3 VX220's.  I just don't understand Lotus retained values, there's some crazy prices around for the older stuff, good for the owners perhaps....

Very handy on track, couldn't touch one in my stage2 VXT. I did have bridgestones on though (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :) )

only 35 official uk examples, and people in the know reckon they'll keep going up in value. 40k isn't far off what they were new (46K). I'd have it in a heart beat. ;)
