I should have waited longer. I forked out usual sort of price for an oem one as they are (were) so rare a little while ago and now look at this - they're everywhere and cheap! :beat:

£15 Delivered maybe? It is just a bit of aluminium with a big hole in the middle. I don't mind paying for some trick fancypants looking bling, but £35 for a plain bit of alu and 4 screws is a bit pricey IMO. The anodising cost also seems a bit cheap by the same token

Delivery alone is £3. Bolts and rawl plugs £3. Then the raw Ali is about £3-3.50 plus the time for them to make it and setup the jig. Then you have my traveling costs to visit them and trial fit 40 mile round trip. Then to collect and all the packaging costs on top. As it's a small run it makes it more expensive. If we had 200 orders it would be a huge amount less. The anodising is a cash job for someone who works at an anodising/plating company who can do it on their lunch break.

Also it's not plain on the rear it is recessed which creates more machining time.

The price is good mate. You also need to make a few quid for your self too for your trouble. Some people want something for nothing. Then you need to add in the time it takes you to package them up and take them to the PO.

Rizo you could do these at a loss and you would still have people saying they to expensive! Afterall its only a peice of ali with a hole in !!! We have a local shop they sell the cheapest stuff but mark it up to top dollar and they sell loads of stuff to people thinking its quality. And then when you have a quality item cheap people complain. Your never please everyone the price is fair Considering the bolts, finnish options and post and packing and of course your time to run around sorting it all.

You should see how much we spend on getting labels made up for electrical equipment at work. It costs hundreds just for one label. Then there is the cost of attaching them to add on to the total.
