I will be investing in decent pads, And some braided lines

I have RS14s all round. I found your braking power pretty bloody good considering the massive speeds at the end of the straights compared to mine. I boiled my fluid in the afternoon so I think I have issues somewhere. Going to change the fluid and pads for Spa as pads getting low anyway.

I had to brake like that because I was getting very bad fade under longer braking, So rather than pussying out I thought the best way around it was to hit it hard and late

I said surprised because in the corners is where I catch a lot of cars that are faster than mine. Maybe he is and maybe I'm just digging him back about the power thing. Maybe it's not possible as my boost would of kicked in and killed me yo. I'm not on here asking for driving tips and there's places all over the show where my driving can be improved. I have a ball in the wet or dry and don't feel the need to change anything to enhance my enjoyment. If I start regularly getting beat on the brakes and corner speed I will look to improve it but till that day I'm staying put.

you were trying to drive it like a turbo though, just after 2 mins shifting to 3rd and then 4th quickly waiting for boost to kick in :D

I was impressed with the corner speed Neil (Acidpopstar) held, you really lean on it well mate. Didn't get a pax ride off anyone else apart from Luke and he was busy figuring out stuff with his recent mods more than driving.

But George just made me laugh all day, he was clearly having a great time, never saw him not smiling or laughing.

Neil's warning, I have to say was not totally his fault, trying to pick up the line through the chicane, the car in front put the brakes on in the chicane causing Neil to have a a big closing speed at the exit. however he did miss the red flag which I think is understandable at that point on the circuit, you really are focused on finding your clipping points, so very easy to miss the flag.

All in all although I have met quite a few of the people before there was a lot more time to chat and get to know people than at a race meeting or hoon, glad I went along, cheap day out too.

What brake set up do you have George?

Duccattisenna or what ever his name was brake cooling ducts, front ap 4 pots with pagid rs14 pads, ap 308mm bells and rotors, standard front ap 2 pots on the rear with pagid rs42 pads and brembo discs, hel braided hoses and no abs. Really pleased with the setup.

Do you have a brake bias thingy? Which handbrake set up have you got?

Standard rear calliper just for the handbrake at the moment. No brake bias valve but I tried lots of different pads till I felt happy with the bias. When I first out the 2 pots on the rear I was locking rears at times. Tried various performance friction, Carbon Lorraine, even tried some Mintex just on the rear. The feel from the brakes and the bias is spot on now. Found it very easy to lock the fronts in the wet when I had standard rear setup and front 4 pots, I was never happy with the feel through the pedal either as the bias was so heavy towards the front.

i use CL5+ and i think im just on the edge of overheating them.. sometimes the brakes are great, but then after a couple heavy braking sessions i think the pads are just starting to give up.
