You wouldn't spot it unless I showed you. It's to allow the seatbelt clasps room. I had to cut a 1'' wide notch in the plastic console below each clasp to give it room. The clasp then hides the 'modification'/bodge. Wanted a carbon console long term but would be concerned about cutting that. Knowing my luck I'd split the whole thing and be out of pocket for £250.
Hark,
Have you got any pics of the seats in your car?

Here you go, so it's all in one place. Iphone + Sun = colours are dodgy, but you get the idea.

Thanks Hark,
Sorry can't see your signature.
Anyway, they look great, and pretty much exactly what I'm after. Though I do wonder how much it would be to retrim those Corbea LE seats too.
Can I ask where you got your Exige seats from?

Yea Matt pointed them out and I emailed the same evening, phoned in the morning. Wasn't a bad price on the seats and a bloody cracking deal on the runners.
One of the runners was faulty and there was a slight rattle. All changed 3 months after I bought them with no quibble. Superb service all round.

Right, I'm a little confused now: Look how low the VXR seats sit (admittedly in Ghand's remodelled VXR) compared to the Exige seats in Hark's car.
I know JG said there might be two part numbers, but the difference really does seem quite considerable

Just too throw you further then Graeme, I'd say that I sit higher off the floor in my VXR than I did in a VX. & going back to my vx220 selling days, we had one or two vx220's where the standard drivers seats were hitting the headrest, I'm sure that the workshop used to modify rather than replace parts to correct this. I'd describe it as a not quite fit rather than a won't fit! Harks seats are quite different in the sides & lower down to my VXR seats.
Thanks
So what it sounds like, is typical Lotus manufacturing. Be interesting to compare VXR seats to one another, as Ghand's seem to be inches and inches off the headrest, while you seem to be saying that others fouled them.
Much though I think those headrest parts are important, especially after my accident, I suspect that for the right seats I'd be happy to do a Vocky (I think it was Vocky) mod to them to make them fit. Happy to mod the centre console too as I'll be retrimming that I expect anyway.

Yours are Probax seats right Neil?
So some simple trimming of headrest parts will ensure they fit?

I said it earlier in the thread. VXR seats are totally different to the standard Track pack Exige seats (Probax padding or not). Look at the shoulder bolsters and headrest shape; totally different. I think the VXR seats were based on the carcasses that Corbeau initally made as an test part for Lotus which may also have ended up in the 340R (but which Lotus elected not to use themselves on the Exige and which subsequently became the LE/LE Pro).Be interesting to compare VXR seats to one another, as Ghand's seem to be inches and inches off the headrest, while you seem to be saying that others fouled them.

I think you might be right.
But the standard LE/LE Pro looks sh*t. Wonder how much it would be for DTT to work his magic on a pair.

I think they were Lotus 2-11 seats or 340R, not really sure
They fitted perfectly fine without altering the headrests, but being tall meant I kept hitting my head on the concrete headrests, so they got 'tweaked'
