Would the 215/40/17 be the most suitable for standard sized fronts?

No no no no. Way too wide for the stupid 5.5" width standard wheels. 195's are too wide, though some people manage to squeeze them on and haven't died yet.

195s are fine on standard, have been using them for ages, many many track days and they are still on the wheels. HTH

Which 195s have you been using to track it on standard rims?

What are these likely to be like in the wet?  Similar to R888s?  I don't use the car over the winter at the mo, but have been caught out in heavy rain before, which has been fine with Ad08s.

I notice the 595RS-R tyres only have 6.2 mm of tread, how much road milage do you guys get out of them please?

I got around 2500 miles inluding 8 trackdays on the rears. Fronts are around 2/3 of the way through on same mileage

Thanks, that sounds a bit better. Anyone else got any ideas on their longevity please?

R888 I used to get approx 3k to rears and 5k to fronts. Some sets with track days others none at all but similar split of miles No doubt they could get more but I never used to care tbh. I did change at wear markers DG

Hi folks where are you buying your Federal 595RS-R tyres from? Are they as wide as Toyo or Yoks? R888 are particularly wider than regular tyres that have the same stated width. Kind regards, Paul
