To add to this thread, bought myself a 2013 M135I at the weekend :)   Glacier Silver with Coral leather, auto, adaptive suspension, and a few other things.. Only thing I'd have added to the spec is an upgraded stereo and the standard one is a bit underpowered. Looks are completely subjective, but I'll just say they look much more purposeful in the flesh, and at least have some character in a sea of VAG products..   I've not had a chance to properly stretch its legs on a spirited B-road run, but on a normal road with changeable weather, I don't think my Stage 3 SC would see which way it went! The combination of the responsive engine, short gearing with near instant gear shift, torque, mean it picks up very well..   Engine as noted, is a peach, and interestingly, you drive it just like its got a large NA engine - very smooth, virtually lag-less, and very responsive.   In comfort mode (with adaptive suspension) it rides like a large saloon car and combined with the Auto gearbox, made northing of a ~200 mile cruise. Sort of a pocket-GT car in that respect. For more spirited driving, you really need to selected Sport however, and Comfort has fairly loose body control.   I thought I'd be using the manual mode more often, but it almost seems a bit backwards. Early days though..   Given the capabilities of the car (and I guess, some of its direct competitors), I'm finding it difficult to classify as a hot-hatch.. Does the speed thing, does the drivers thing, does the daily things, does the GT thing, does the practicality thing...

Spot on summary, the biggest thing I miss is the noise, really is addictive when giving it some beans.

Just got my M2 still running it in but so far I'm very impressed. Noise is great on start up, looks aggressive and its got a manual! Only downside is the lack of button to switch off the auto blip, it is possible but you have to switch off all the nannies....

Haven't really pushed it yet, but it gives some feel for an EAS system and its the best I've felt so far. Not going to touch the vx but as a package it's right up there.

Steering feel is crap to be honest when you compare to the vx, but without that as a reference it's not so bad. Stick it in sport and the steering weight increases which feels too artificial to me, but in comfort it's precise and very fast 2 turns lock to lock.

After driving one today a couple of observations: The steering wheel rim is far too thick, a common bmw annoyance. Removes a lot of control ime It's very lairy in the wet, the Exige with much more power to weigh has so much more traction. It's pretty fast and the auto box is very good Very comfortable Very desirable as an everyday prospect

Few drives I have had while looking for a second car you can get the back of the car moving under full throttle overtakes.

Not out of control but does let you know where the drive is going.

They are very good cars.

I got a new 140 in the end :D Really really liking it. 140 is 335hp and 369ftlb of torque (which is 20% more than the exige)

Not seen one with the chrome window trim option fitted. Great colour choice. What spec did you go for?

Concierge service?

You call BMW and a call centre person can help you find a place and put it into the navy for you,
