no.
this is why the body end-cap on them is somewhat longer to push the damper body down away from the top mount.
also, it's worth noting that flat section tender springs are somewhat bigger OD than the main spring, so putting them at the top can exaggerate this issue.
As well as that, assuming your running the right open length spring (ie, one with enough working travel before coil bound) and nothing too long, as the extra length will only push the collar up the damper into the problem zone.
