Sorry I've not posted any updates, I've been very busy with work and I'm going to be away for the next few days. In the meantime I'm going to get some surrounds cut so I can crack on with them when I get back.

As for the gate, I finally got around to fitting it today. I can confirm that I can select all gears with the console firmly fixed in place. This is what I was expecting as I measured and remeasured when I was making my CAD drawing. The only thing I dont like is being able to see all the mechanism inside. Also I'm concerned that it might not fit other cars as well as mine (maybe cables adjusted differently from car to car?).

If people still want some just keep adding to the list.

It's not just about trying it static. Many people rest their knee on the console and that can move it 10mm or so...

Yeah, I was going to suggest I could trial this for a week and report back, but I wont be able to do much this week as I'm away with work until thursday.

H gate looks great but as you said, wouldn't be keen on seeing all the internals. Let us know when/how you want payment. No rush though.

Sorry I've not been replying much, I've been very busy with work. I have the surrounds cut now so they should be ready soon. I'm away from home for a few days working but I'll be back on Friday. With Christmas being next week it's likely these will be posted out between Xmas and new year. I will be in touch with those who want the surrounds over the weekend and we can sort out payment. I made a few extra surrounds for anyone else who might be interested.

Just let me know payment details (paypal?) and I'll bung over some cash and address and you can send one out whenever it's ready.

Thanks.

wouldn't be keen on seeing all the internals.

I'd imagine that would be easilly hidden by having some sort of upside down cone of black material installed around the shaft and inside edges of the surround. Sort of like a reverse gaiter? Everything would still be free to move and it should also help catch anything that happened to fall through the slots.

Or alternatively a piece of black felt stuck under the gate with slots cut to allow the gear lever to do its thing.
