I wish I could get 55 hours in to a game, I have only had about 2-3 hours in to GT6 since I got it on Thursday :(

Back in the days of GPL I used to have time to put 5 to 6 hours a night in. But not these days, maybe a bit more time after xmas when things settle down. Gonna take me a long time to catch up to your level Chris.

Well done, tried your setups for the 458 and they were a lot better. My times started to come down and getting better every lap, still a long way off though, only got a couple of hours at it with your setups.

yea, you just need to keep persevering they will slowly come down.. what i do is set myself goals per session, like 3 seconds off then 2.5 then 2 etc.. i will eventually hit the wall and not be able to put a fast lap in, i will be up in all sectors but i just cant string the lap together, this is when i stop for a couple hours or for the evening and try again the next day. More often than not i within my first 10 laps i will beat my time i just could not get the day before.. normally works for me.. im going to try do the single seater one and see how i get on, im going to leave the lotus 49 one until i get my shifter for xmas.

Yeah used to do the same thing in GPL and LFS, suddenly you just can't do a good time even close to your best, stop, go for a coffee and a smoke, play another game or just goto bed and start again the next day.

Love using the shifter and proper heel and toe. I'm after the new Fanatec one, the old one it not bad but noisey.

The devs on AC said that they have built in certain advantages to driving how any particular car would be driven in real life, so something like the 211 or 49 would have the potential to be faster when driven with no aids, using a shifter and heel and toe, the auto blip or auto clutch will remove performance. Likewise paddles and auto blip will not remove performance on the 458 for instance.

yea, basically they made shifting with paddles slower if you use them in a manual gearbox car.. if you can use the shifter and toe and heal then it will shift as fast as you can shift it.. which is a very welcome thing imo. im sick of being at a disadvantage because i want to drive the car how its supposed to be driven.. same in regards to cockpit only. i tested the cockpit thing out.. in the m3gt2 i could knock off nearly .5 of a second just because my situational awareness was better. i bought the Th8R for xmas :) cant wait to try it out

Thats what good about triple screens, you use your peripheral vision and glance at your sides and wing mirrors instead of having a glance button. Although I think AC needs some work on the views and angles of the mirrors myself.

Always hated that you could be faster in non realistic views or driving types in sims/racing games, it meant to be competitive you had to do it too.

My first propper skin, took me 5 hours! time passes so fast.

Here is the skin in the preview (preview is matched identically to the standard ones) also it has a correct livery icon, i had to make some of the logos from scratch as well, probably what took the time.

Ive given up with Rfactor 2 and gone back to rfactor... even from 2005 its still a very good sim.

Will wait a little longer for this one to be fully released before buying another game.

PC racing Sims put GT6 to shame!  shocking how we get used to consoles

Check these prices lol

Rfactor 1, enjoyed that immensely for sure. Fave was BMW E21 320 mod, try it if you haven't already.
