I have just checked Batman's compcam boxes, they are 8758 and 8759 - which were supposed to be stage 2 LSJ cams.

ZZP need to alter their website as these clearly state 210/212, not 216/218.

ps: Joe you need new cams, these are too mild for a Harrop  :glare:

perhaps I'm being stupid, well my brain does feel totally fried, but they quote a spec and when you check that spec it doesn't match does it

It may well be that they changed the spec and didn't alter their website, either way something doesn't seem to add up

However, if they produce the bhp expected then they are fine  thumbsup

even that doesn't match Compcams spec sheet.

I think people need to run their engines on a rolling road and see what bhp they get, none of the numbers match and thus it's difficult to understand exactly what spec they really are.

Oh, I see the confusion.  You are comparing different specs.  On our site, we have the duration listed at 1mm lift, which is the way that GM measures the stock cams.  Comp does not show duration at 1mm lift.  They show duration at .050".  Since 1mm is only .039", the duration is a few degrees higher when using this method.  If you look at the chart you posted, you will see they have duration specs at .006", .050", and .200".  If you added in another column showing duration at .039", you can see that the duration would be higher than it is at .050".  In this case, it is about 6 degrees more at .039"(1mm).

it looks like the stage 2 cams we have all bought are

inlet         @ 0.039 (1mm) = 216    and @ 0.5  =  163.8

exhaust    @ 0,039 (1mm)= 218 .  and @ 0,5 =  165.3

does anyone have the specs of standard z22se cams

thumbsdown

In English,

zzp are saying that their stage 2 LSJ cams have different specs than those posted on the compcams website, whether that means they are just as good as blower cams will be proven once someone puts their car on a rolling road.

So don't panic  thumbsup

They have given the duration at 1mm 0.39" not at .50" so there site would seem to be correct and you have got there stage 2 cams. These may be milder than the comp blower cams but that is a separate discussion.
