Dave H on here modded my end plate for dual pass for about £15 plus postage.

That's a bit different to the price at Courtenay 's - thanks. Think I'm probably back on track to get all parts including mapping, exhaust, charge cooler etc. sorted for under £2k now. I just need to make sure the bits arrive from America first before I buy too much other stuff.

That header tank looks interesting.

Reservoir is GM number 22697069 (25$ and up) Cap is GM number 15076936 (10$ and up)

Difficult to find here, as it's an lsj part.

You may trie yanking Joe's or Lee's legg for one.

you do not need the modified sc inlet end plate (double pass mod) for a basic stage 2 sc. Only required for stage 3 and above.

You also do not need any M8 - M6 studs, just use the washers from the bolts on an old cam cover.

If you are very careful you should easily be able to DIY for less than £2k, just don't buy stuff unless you really need it. Z20LET injectors will be fine, standard exhaust can cope, but reduces max bhp.

Just make sure you get the sc inlet manifold support and have a 100A alternator.

ps: and buy any bolts required from ebay, much cheaper

The sc hasn't been posted from the states yet and I'm getting a few bits added to the box. So what should i add?

- manifold bracket (was inlcuded anyway but just hadn't been specified!)

- Charge cooler tank from cobalt (requested)

What about the cobalt injector harness. The LSJ injectors are EV1's so this should work shouldn't it?

Anything else?

I think stock (green) lsj injectors are EV6, and you can't use them as CS has no mapping for them.

Keep your options in mind when choosing injectors:

CS only posts a basemap based on the black turbo injectors (EV1).

CS Will only map on the blue injectors when on-site.

Only the much more expensive obdtuner will give you all the freedom of injectors at wish.

when I charge cooled my Elise( vag 1.8t 20v) I used this rad http://www.ebay.co.u...s=Car Make:Fiat|Model%3ASeicento&hash=item3f226de1fc I removed the plastic ends and replaced them with my own ali ones, I can get this done for you ;) For the header tank I used this http://www.mkenginee.../apps/webstore/

It uses a ford cap http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4d1547338a.

If you phone Martin at MK for the header tank then just mention Daz with the Elise, he can sort the rad for you ;) He's a top guy and has built some awsome projects over the years. ( was the man behing the MK Indy before selling tghe business on)

Thanks. Not getting many bids on eBay at the moment so it's going to be tough...

Chill - didn't you go for the pro-alloy CC rad? If you did it for less than £2.5k with that and Dutch software then I must be missing something.

Thought I'd add a quick update on the breakdown of costs for those interested. The big bits aren't too bad in terms of cost but they're fairly tough to get any cheaper. So far I've got:

- Charger, manifold, TB, shipping, import duty, bolts, bracket etc. -£570

- Base Map, final map, fuel to/from Courtenays - £500

- Exhaust - Second Hand - £225

It's the little bits that add up where I'm trying to be smarter with the sourcing:

- SC Ancillaries (belt tensioner, injectors, breather hose and filter, 100A alternator, fuel pump etc.)- £550

- CC & Ancillaries - £250

That little lot is around £2100 and I think I can shave another £100 to hit the magic £2k mark. l'll add a full breakdown of all parts costs at the end as I'm sure there'll be some bit's I've forgotten

Thanks Dazz - do you have a picture of the Siecento rad fitted? Also, does anyone know if the Elise crash box (MK1 / MK2?) is the same size as the VX?

Injector update... I've ordered some standard z20let injectors and the guy in the US that I bought the charger from has chucked in an LSJ loom at no extra charge so when they both get here I'll have a look and see where we are.

I didn't need a exhaust Already had 2.5 tullet and standard manifold I think it came to £2800 but that included a pro alloy rad for car as well as CC rad

@dazzx10r Sorry, my english is not good enough to understand what you do with the radiator? Will it fit in the front crash box? How do you modified it? Thanks for your answer! Christian.

@ Captain Vimes I think it would be a fault not to go for the OBD Tuner Software. You can modifie it on your own - it will grow up with your car changes: - pulley size - injector size - lsj throttle body - better cooling mod - cams -...... And it will not be a standart map - it is unique. Like your car.

I like the idea of obd software but I'm not sold on having to map the car myself and possibly screwing it up. On the plus side it would be interesting to fit the exhaust while NA and see what difference the software makes on a fairly standard NA while acquiring the SC bits...

I suggest ditching the chargecooler in favour of dutch ecu. Then you can always do stage 2 in the future if you feel like.

It's really very difficult to screw it up. You're not doing anything unique, it's a well trodden path and there are simple measures to ensure the map is correct, the main one being checking that the fuel is being trimmed down from the base map, this means the base map is running rich and therefore protecting the engine.

It's a very powerful bit of software. You can download the software and play with maps available on the OBD forum before even paying for the ECU flash, so why not have a play before you decide to go for it?
