Hi roof-seekers
Last year I didn't get around to selling the hardtop that came with my tubby. I need to free up some cash now though, so it's time to get rid of it.
It came wrapped in a black carbon-effect vinyl, with sound-deadening matting and trimmed in a grey suede-alcantara material. Since 'Dave the Trimmer' did the rest of the interior and it's in the same material as the seats and dash, I'm guessing he did it too. The alignment of window seals weren't perfect and they were a little short on length. Bizarrely, it didn't result in any leaks during even the heaviest downpours but it did let in some draughts when the wind was blowing at specific angles in relation to the windows and it generated a bit of wind noise at speed. One my car, this was all made worse by the fact I have seized window adjusters, so I can't move the top of the glass in towards the centre of car (an issue I still have, even with the OEM roof.) You can see all this on the photos.
Mainly though, I wanted to get back to the stock look and also wanted the tidier interior fixings of the OEM roof. As I said, until I get the windows adjusted, I've still got similar issues with the OEM roof, so I'd guess on normal window arrangements it would be passable. There's also the option of sorting the seals.
I bought a body-coloured, sapphire black OEM roof which was a lot easier for me than the alternatives of unwrapping and painting mine the correct colour then the (probably relatively small job) of sorting the seals.
It's not a bad roof at all, actually looks very good (if you want a carbon-look) and is still quieter and warmer than the soft top but I need to point out the issues above.
With the wrap, sound deadening and trimming, I'd say it's worth £400 + P&P. I'd prefer it if postage was organised by the purchaser but would be open to discussing it if necessary.
Happy to let prospective buyers come and try it out (in Edinburgh) for fit and seal before buying too.
Thanks for looking.

ETA - It's the TMS version of the hardtops, not a Jonnyboy or OEM.
