Good answers. So it's more about the build and the individuality than the money worries  thumbsup

I do love S1/S2 those Exige's though.    I'd swap my VX for one in a heartbeat

Agreed, but you'll need at least £25k for either, and with the S1 I suspect you'd need to plough a chunk more money into it as well.

And the S2 just isn't fast enough for that money. A 350bhp Honda conversion though? Now you're talking (big bucks)

Hmm. Depends what you are after I guess. At the end of the day the Exige S2 is only a lowly stage 2 supercharged. Just a kinda nicer place to be.  That said however, do the interior on the VX and bingo.

I didn't say CUP though

No, for a CUP I'd need a carbon bingo card and lightweight dabber dobber or whatever they're called.

Hmmph it's all bullshit.  You do what you like. Your wallet.

I only bought mine to sell on and hopefully make some money on it.

Ah yes, now that is a bonus I have to say.  Not a fan of it but bloody hell it was hot without it.

Got to ashamed of driving that car with aircon on so turned it off and sweltered

It's still going Nev, it has to - too deep into it now.

It's just I'm faltering slightly in my stamina, as work is mental at the moment (now working this weekend as well). I'll be back there tomorrow (out tonight). Hopefully I'll regain some of my enthusiasm again soon! :D

More money into an S1 you say? Never!!

Haha, I had your recent purchase very much in mind when I had my recent rethink. In fact, the whole thing was entirely your fault ;)

So anyway, managed a few more hours at MBR on saturday - despite the hangover - and actualy feel like my presence there made a vaguely noticable difference to the car (if only every day felt this way I'd be a lot happier).

Wheelbearings fitted to front hubs (and rea hubs actually, just no pics of those

Removed all the seals from the doors and door apetures etc

And realised I should probably remove those bits that sit between the dash and inner sills

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Which just left the foam/seal on the actual sill itself. Boring and time consuming (as even though I'm repainting I didn't want to damage the sill bodywork too much)

New/replacement ARB turned up (since I gave mine to Hark) so greased that, installed with bushes etc.

Actually quite happy to have waited for the new one, as its black, rather than gaudy (tuner) red. :D

Was the start of the Ring24H yesterday as well, so had to get the laptop in to keep me entertained (and informed)

Took the doors off, the laptop came with me

Posted Image

Anyway, completely stripped them down and boxed the parts. Ready for painting basically

Matt didn't fit the ABS bracket on mine so he could get more camber. Will he not be doing the same on yours?

Na. Graeme is going road/track and will run abs. You won't run abs and just track to max camber. If you don't run the proper plates even with good cable tieing you run the risk of damaging the wiring.
