So while looking for some tyres for my new ATS DTC wheels, I had decided to go with Federal 595RS-R in 215/40R17 and 235/40R17. Cheapest I could find them (in stock) in the UK was Camskill at approx £430inc delivery. I've dealt with camskill for tyres plenty of times before and was about to hit the buttone when I discovered Tyre Leader through Google.

http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/

Prices for my sizes were:

293260114 Federal 595 RS-R 235/40 R17 90W 2 79.66 £ 293270114 Federal 595 RS-R 215/40 R17 83W 2 72.24 £ Price excluding VAT : 303.80 £ VAT20.00 % : 60.76 £ Full price including VAT : 364.56 £

I ordered them on Monday, paid by debit card, andwas given the DPD tracking numbers which allowed me to trace their progress every step of the way.

They arrived by 10am this morning, so around 48hrs since ordering. I think, despite Tyreleader's co.uk website address that they came from Germany or somewhere close by in Europe, but with 48hr delivery that matters not.

Very happy with the service; saved a chunk of money too.

Seems they do some more hardcore options as well, including Toyo R888s and the R1-Rs and Yoko A048 and Ad08s, though not always in the perfect sizes.

Do have reasonably priced winter tyres for anyone looking for them for their sheds as well.

Anyway, definitely worth checking out for most people based on my experience and amount of money I saved.

thumbsup  from me.

Just make sure that they are right hand-drive variants, don't want the car suffering because they were designated for German Autobahn use . :P Cracking price.

Yup been browsing through all their prices, and if they stock the size you want they really do seem to have some good prices.

Just been checking some of their prices against ours and when taking into account delivery and fitting most of the 'ordinary' stuff doesnt really have a saving but they are a good avenue for trackday and the harder to find brands, Nokian, Vredestein etc. Certainly a good range.

Nice one G. I'd intended looking into getting some R1R's in a couple of months time (replacing due to age and brand rather than wear), but this might help me look now ;)

Glad it's helping some people.

As said not perfect for all or for all sizes, but some significant savings for others.

This is handy as my rear RSR's are near needing replacing.

Will a 235/40/17 on a TD1.2 fit with no issues? Car is slightly lower than standard.

no , not on a 7.5J wheel, you will not be able to get the tyre bead to squeeze in* . The 235/45 should in theory. * tyres vary batch to batch, so it might , but experience tells us even 225 toyos can be a right pita
