Hi .orgers

I'm sure it MUST have been discussed previously but I've tried searching and can't see anything anywhere...

Can anyone help with suggestions for replacements?  Are the S2 mirrors are a direct swap (no mods.)

Anything else around?

All help gratefully received.  :D

Cheers

Look at mirrors doing a search on here. I am sure metro mirrors were the same?

Metro, or I think it was GiGo that used heated MGF mirrors

Thanks Chaps.  I'm thinking of something to give a slightly different look without resorting to Dremels, fibreglass, etc.

Haven't found anything other than carbon shells

If you want to swap them over inc the plinths to get that vent hole then no, you have to mod the S2 plinth.  It is a very simple mod though, you just have to sand a small bit off the bottom to clear the shape of the door. (best to do this before paint!)

Thanks.  I quite like the S2 mirrors.

Gives a little wider field of view through the rear-view mirrors too as the Elise plinths are a little longer compared to the original VX/Speedster ones.

As the mirrors are mounted a tad more 'outward' on the car, visibility to the rear is less obscured by the rear quarter of the car compared to the original mirror location.

Not a huge difference, but just a little better/broader visibility to the rear.

Bye, Arno.
