Quite often I drive on main beam without realising. I like to slump a little in the seat, so I don't see the blue light on the dash as it's hidden by the steering wheel boss; and also the headlights are so crap that you don't realise they're on main beam. Oncoming motorists don't notice either - again because the headlights are so crap.

 

Anyway, someone flashed me today, for the first time in 3 years of VX'ing, including commuting in dark Swiss winters.

 

They were probably given a suntan from the dazzling brilliance of the VX lights.

Funny, I drove around for probably months without noticing one of the dipped beams was blown.:)

Could the on coming vehicle have gone over a bump, that can give an impression of a flash of lights?  ;)

I always get paranoid that something has flown off the car when I get flashed :D probably what was said above though that's what it normally is
