Got the gate fitted, looks the dogs (IMO). Polished the gear stick, somehow had rust colour?

Excellent. Looks good, I might ditch my gear surround and go for a gate instead!

Received, looks great thanks!

Measured it up and it will fit plastic or carbon fibre console fine. Haven't been able to actually install it yet as I've not come up with a way of removing the gear knob without damaging it.

Anyone got any tips?

Good news, post a pic when it's fitted :) I removed my gear knob by first warming it up with a heat gun to soften the glue on the thread and the it just unscrewed by hand.

Bad news from me.

The Gear Gate fits very good on a carbon fibre console from LM Corse. But the position of the gears is different between LHD and RHD. Therefore, the Gear Gate can not be installed in an Opel Speedster. :(

And yes, it looks fantastic on the carbon fibre console.

Bad news from me. The Gear Gate fits very good on a carbon fibre console from LM Corse. But the position of the gears is different between LHD and RHD. Therefore, the Gear Gate can not be installed in an Opel Speedster. :(   And yes, it looks fantastic on the carbon fibre console.

can it be fixed by filing out the slots for the gear stick? Or is it way out?

I might have one left in the garage. Let me check tomorrow and I'll let you know. I still have one of the surrounds left if anyone is interested.

Only 5 months later...is there any adjustment in the gear lever? When I offer this up 1st & 2nd gear is pushing the gate over. Or should I file the gate, any clues! Cheers.

I found that on mine, had to remove it in the end as i feared it was damaging it. Going to file it down and use it as a surround instead.

Thought it seemed too much to take off. Shame I knacked my leather surround taking it off. :(
