Haha I can confirm it was not me driving like a tit in Farnburgh! Just using the fridge just now as it's sitting unified in the garage. Need to sell it really. Fairly decent light for quick snaps though. Freezer is full of left over RS parts... ;) Sure was a long drive back from Alastair's, about 400 miles I think. Got home at 4.30am! I'll try get the lighter out at some point, I was planning on taking the seats out to clear out under them at some point. Maybe wait until summer though! If you don't smoke anymore you won't mind if I just bin it.... She is a daily drive at the minute but only as I'm not cycling right now. Quite enjoy using it and if anything would prefer to do more miles. I'm getting married in July so will be using it as my wedding car all being well. I've got some medium density clay from when I did my Focus I was planning on using. I'm not a huge fan of claying but I accept it needs to be done! There's a big canister of Tardis there which should make the job easier. I'm thinking of machine polishing it at some point, has anyone here done a VX and if so how hard and thick is the paint?

The paint is soft, thin and falls off if you look at it the wrong way  When I do mine, I do it by hand. Fnarrr :P

Yeah bin the lighter if you can find it lol I found the paintwork fairly hard but I'd imagine it will vary on each car depending if it's had parts re sprayed etc. IMO clay bars are only worth it if you use your car everyday. The most annoying thing about yellow cars is Tar spots! So the Tardis should come in handy although I found wd40 was better

Think I might try a filler polish first then if I need more I can use a very light polish/pad combination.

Was hoping to clean the exterior today but we've had yet more rain unfortunately. Did a bit of a road trip between showers with the roof off earlier though which was great! :)

To finish off last weeks interior clean:

Leather is looking great now incidentally so presumably the 'curing' time of 48 hours is actually real. Very pleased with the results.

I've found visibility very poor due to rain sitting on the glass so thought I would clean the windows inside and out. The 3M spray was recommended by Polished Bliss when I went past one day as being a great, fast cleaning solution for windows. RainX should prevent the water sitting on the surfaces:

Inside less so:

So that was the interior done for the first time. Few bits I want to go over again include removing the sticky 'stains' in the footwells, will probably use some Tardis to try and gently clean the area and another treatment of the leather to get it looking awesome.

Next up is the exterior which is filthy:

Hopefully we get a dry weekend at some point to do it.

I've got a picture of the leather from today, but Photobucket is not playing ball unfortunately so can't get it uploaded right now.

One of the previous owners added it to reduce the wear on the seat and centre console I believe.
