I don't ask for much, but I need, or rather my wife does, your prayers, thoughts, miracles whatever. I just wanted to keep you updated, I've told some people something and others something else. My wife was admitted to Royal Berks Hospital in Reading on Sunday afternoon, with a headache. We fought for her to be admitted and I said goodbye Sunday night with her texting away and chatting. I returned Monday morning to find her gone for a CT scan. When she came back she was effectively unconscious and hasn't woken since. The scan showed a large mass and after consultation with John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, she was sent by blue light ambulance to Ozford as that's where the neuro centre is. She was operated on for several hours last night, to reduce the mass and the fluid. The tumor was the size of a tangerine and was just a ticking time bomb. I'm now driving to and from the JR. For now, she will remain sedated and it's a waiting game. Thank you for your messages already received from those that know already. I'll keep you updated, pray to whatever god or deity you believe in for us. My wife has met many VXers and I've met many more, I count a large number of you as friends. Thanks for reading, don't be scared to post. Lee

Sorry to hear this Lee, I hope there's good news at the end of this.

If you need anything while you're in Oxford let me know. I'm about a mile from the JR, even if it's just a case of a tea while the traffic eases off.

Just playing the waiting game. She went for another ct scan this morning to see what impact, if any, the surgery last night had. Thanks for the kind words they mean a lot.

I'm speechless too. It's horrible that things like this can happen from what seems to be a small symptom. I hope that she is ok and recovers quickly, Lee. :)

Aww, fcuk. What absolutely awful awful news. Really sorry to have to read this Lee. :(

Not sure He listens too much where I'm concerned, but I'll do my best on that front and obviously already have all my appendages crossed for Alex and a full and speedy recovery.

It should go without saying but if there's anything I can do, shout.

Thoughts are with you and all of the girls in your life. thumbsup  :grouphug:
