I realised I've not updated this for a while. So, a brief update. Back in July time Alex finished her year of Chemotherapy, this effectively puts her onto a "watch and wait" program. Good and bad I guess. At least there are no ups and downs with chemo cycles, it's pretty intense on the body. We have had 2 scans since then, they are every 3months with results 2weeks after each scan. Current status is that in her scans there is "No sign of tumour progression". Physically everything is healed, there are still a couple of tumour spots inside the brain but for now they will be left alone and normal life continues. The twins started school back in September and that was a HUGE milestone for Alex, at times we thought she would never see that day come. They are now settled into a nice routine and Alex has finished working to be a full time mum, whilst completing her Open University Degree. The degree was something that had to go on hold when the tumours reared it's ugly head! So she's glad to get back into that. Next scan will be February time, which will be 2yrs on from it all kicking off. It goes without saying that we really appreciate the support we've had from you guys around here. Thanks all!! :grouphug:

Really glad to hear that there are some positives, not long after Alex's news my brother-in-law was diagnosed with Leukemia and has been through the wars with it.

Mel lost a close friend in her youth to Leukemia, so it was a hard blow for her too... So, though I can't say I fully understand how hard it has been and how great getting to now must feel, I have the greatest respect for you both as I can see just how hard the last 2yrs must have been.

Well done.
