I know you must be having less dignified moments, but I am in awe at how well you seem to be keeping it together.   /A very very humbled Mangham54

Keeping it together? I have to :) Kids are a great incentive for that. Not to mention the support of family and friends. I've had meals delivered (hot), I've had people visit just cos they know I'm home, I've had £20 stuck in a card to help with car parking! People have been fab, and just knowing we are being thought about is all helping. We renewed our wedding vows in Sept after 10yrs married, we're definitely stronger now than we've ever been. Not a journey I want to be on, but I'm not getting off this roller coaster until it's beaten us properly! I'll keep going and supporting my family unit as best I can. Work have been great, it's a welcome distraction and I'm actually enjoying getting up in the morning and going to work!

I would be a wreck... And yes from what I can see you appear to be holding it together remarkably well. I am truely in awe, your family are lucky to have you amongst them.

I have just become a premium member and I am so sad to read about your dear wife. It genuinely made me emotional.

My prayers are with you and your family. It is also very heart warming to read all the support from your friends on here.

God bless you all.

Just to update...

Alex starts Radiotherapy tomorrow (Day 1). It's a 33day course over the next 6weeks. Every working day, also including Easter Monday and May day bank holiday!

15min sessions.

Not sure on Chemotherapy, as standard treatment is Radio only, but she's taking part in a trial and we're awaiting her "stream" to follow. Should find out later today.

We had a few days at Disneyland Paris last week with the twins, chance to try and forget some of the bad stuff and focus on smiles. We had a fab time!!

Just a brief update. Alex has just one week of Radiotherapy & Chemotherapy remaining, then she's onto 5days of chemo every 28days for the next year. It's been as smooth as it could be, no sickness etc. Tiredness has been the biggest side effect, that and some hairloss caused by the targetted radiotherapy. Given that she has fought this so well so far, I've felt inspired to run/crawl/hobble the British 10k in London on July 13th (2months tomorrow). If you can spare a few quid to help support The Brain Tumour Charity via my JustGiving Page, then I'd really appreciate the encouragement!! Regards, Lee. http://www.justgivin...m/brainsvsbrawn

Managed to run my first ever 10k last night thumbsup I managed an hour and 10mins for 10k, which is about 7minutes per km. Ideally for the race, I'd like to dip under the hour, but that means dropping to 6minute kilometres so we'll have to see. Donations are keeping me going at the moment, spurring me on to do well. http://www.justgivin...m/brainsvsbrawn Thanks for your support so far. In case you're interested, Alex was interviewed for BBC Radio Berks this morning in connection to "diagnostic scans" having huge delays... http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/p01zmn4n Skip to 1hr 38m to hear her phone interview.
