Thanks cap'n So a brief update, wifey is back home having been discharged after a month in hospital on and off, started 5days of chemo again yesterday. Things will hopefully be "normal" for a while now, she's still signed off work until at least end of August. After than, who knows but hopefully she'll go back to work, not for the money but for her... Make sense? So when we have guys desperate to get rid of a car they should not have taken on finance, I do look and wonder why us, why do we have to go through life with a brain tumour!

Just read this Lee, I am new to this site, and as such have never met you guys.

I have however had to deal with Cancer and family members. I know how unfair it seems, my parents were finally relaxing in their middle age when my Mother became disabled by an inoperable 5 cm AVM in her brain. I cried, got angry and in the end, just prayed.Against all odds 11 years later she is still here.

Have faith our prayers are with you, your wife sounds like an extremely courageous woman and her will is no doubt helping her as much as medicine.

God bless you and your family.

Really good to hear the positive news Lee, & good to hear Alex sounding upbeat. Fingers and everything else crossed for all of you that the next stages build on that positivity👍

Just to keep this updated... We, well Alex really, had her scan results today from her MRI on 15th October. It's been a bit anxious around these parts, bit like waiting for exam results only more important! Anyway, there is some positive news for a change. "No sign of tumour progression" since the last scan post operation in July. There are still two areas of <1cm that could be tumour but they're not sure. Bear in mind that the initial tumour back in feb was "tangerine sized" or about 7cm round that's quite an improvement after 3 operations, 6weeks radiotherapy and various chemotherapy sessions along the way. So, we're "steady as she goes" and will continue the chemotherapy (5days on 23 off) for another 3 months and then it's scan/results time again. In the mean time, we're off to Disneyland Paris week before Christmas with the twins and our family, can't bloody wait I need a holiday!! Thankyou to each and everyone of you for your text messages, calls, forum PMs. Just to know we're not alone helps A LOT! :grouphug: We are still very aware that we're not going to "beat" this tumour, but hell we've got to give it everything.

An article went live today that a friend wrote for us on Huffington Post: http://www.huffingto..._b_6064346.html Feel free to have a read and share it as wide as you can please. If it helps diagnose one other person it's worth it.

Same here! Enjoy Disneyland. We went over the summer and I needed a holiday when we got back! It was great fun but we must have walked 5-10 miles each day. Some tips if you haven't been before: If you go to city hall you might be able to get a fast pass for the rides, which is reserved for people with health conditions and saves you queuing up. If not, then you can always use Baby Switch so you can take turns on rides and avoid both queuing. Also, if you want to meet the characters I'd recommend booking 'breakfast with mickey' one day as you get to meet all the characters in one go rather than having to queue up all over the park for 30 minutes each time. Hope that helps. It took us a couple of trips to figure out some of these bits and wish someone had mentioned it to us..

We went in March between Alex's surgery and radiotherapy. We did exactly that with the pass, makes life so much easier.

Sat here thankful for the surgeons and doctors this year. Earlier this year we weren't expecting Mrs Pops to still be here, Christmas has arrived and we can celebrate as a normal family. Chemo has been ongoing each month and next scan is end of jan, results in Feb. Thanks for your support. :grouphug:
