Anyone who wants it that badly will manage to get them, sadly.

:yeahthat: By the time they've discovered that you've secured them a little more they'll have already made a mess of your clam. They'll get them if they are determined enough.

Hopefully a 1 time c*nt with damage looking for a cheap fix.

Otherwise it's a very worrying trend.

New clam - £2500

New light -£1200

New light - £1200

Paint - £600

FItting - £500

6k claim.

Why the fluck are the front lights £1200, but the rears are £350. They're surely not that different in construction, just a different shape ?

Thats sh*t, sorry to hear that you must be gutted.

I have been a victim of crime in the past but fortunately I managed to escape the shithole city I grew up in and live in a nicer place now. Unfortunately once a victim of crime the violated feeling never really leaves you.

Normally such cost is to kill the product line and then will over time remove it from the time.. I would guess the lights wasn't this much when the cars were brand new.

Absolutely horrible mate Iv always wondered if it will happen to me with all the Vx iv had an owned etc . Really depressing for you mate , if you do go through insurance they more than likely write the car off. Unbelivable the thieving doodahs today , my shed got broken into 6 months ago they steel an expensive 300 pound hedge cutter , that they probably sold for 20 quid to fund there drug habit. Lucky they left the number of turbo headlights ! Now moved into my house !

Odd thing to steal when you think about it, unless it was some twat to graft onto his Corsa..

It can only be the shape the thieving b45tards like, cos they'll swear blind they've fcuked the wiring up. Hope you catch them B!

On the local news tonight there was a piece on thefts of car parts from Vauxhalls, particularly VXRs.  Wonder if Benjy's headlamp theft was related?

Worth contacting the police again and mentioning Operation King?

Rear lights from Range Rover Sports are being stolen (easy to do) and regularly sold on eBay. One guy had 3 sets for sale. Fact is eBay is an easy sale media for stolen parts & the police are rarely interested

I get that Paul but there is just a chance that there is a link between Benjy's theft and Operation King.  It's got to be worth mentioning this to the police again.  Certainly no harm.

No link between the two whatsoever, to my mind.
