Yup, 68mm TB.  Got a spare coil pack too.

Awesome, is the TB a spare? (IE could I keep it for a week to try a handful of cold starts?)

logging the TB idling should tell you straight away if it's different.

Also make sure you load back the last map before Peters tweaking or send him the latest if you've done some mapping since and have him set it back to normal.

are your wire changes crimped or soldered?

Dunno, whatever Vocky did :D

the pins are simply removed and repositioned in the plug  :)

Only the injectors, map and fuel tank vent valve are lengthened.

With regards to the problem, have you tried another map (or TMAP) sensor ?

The map (TMAP) and the tb are closely linked in the ecu map  thumbsup

had the problem when I first swapped and that was with a standard CS style setup (map sensor)

Still there after moving to TMAP

Sorry not had a chance to get any swapping out done and wrapping stuff up at work this week as I go on leave next week. One more to join us with probs though, Pete-r PM'd me to say he is getting exactly the same prob.

Curiouser and curiouser! Mine still had the problem on the base map. (I assume your talking about the OBD basemap and Pete-r didn't have a CS map before switching to OBD?) I assume your TB wiring switches are as Chills above Vocky? Can't see how a wrong connection wouldn't have more impact than just poor cold starting but worth a shot I guess. Pete-r if you load your base-map back on does it start ok? And does your TB butterfly also sit at ~17% open when you take a log of idle (once fully warmed up)

Hi, Mine is suffering the same sort of thing, since Neil and Joe did the conversion last Saturday. If the car is left for a while it chugs on and on, then splutters into life. I'm not 100% sure what's going on with the TB, but I've noticed some other things on mine worth confirming with others. When I prime the car and check the fuel rail release valve (with the dust cap screwed on) I get nothing but air out, not even a dribble. Start the car and try again and I get fuel flowing out, not like a jet just a solid flow. Stop the car and within moments it's dry again. Could the fuel pipes be connected the wrong way round? Also if I put ignition on to prime and briefly push the starter, then push it a second time, it starts ok. So it's as though for me, the ignition isn't pumping fuel up to the rail, though I can hear it buzzing, and when I try to start it the pipes finally fill up with fuel. I did a learn session yesterday so will try it this morning and see if that has helped, and I'll take a video so hopefully it will be more self explanatory.

Here's my car slow starting: And the same from the engine bay: And when I turn it off the fuel pipe valve is dry within moments:

Sorry Smiley unlocked now. No idea on fuel filter but the car started sweet before the conversion, and was running on the Dutch software in NA before the work. Yes I'll send the base over, this is now after the saving of the learned map so I'll send both if that helps. I've also had a thought, when configuring the car Peter asked me about sensors and I asked Joe what to put. I bought this sensor on ebay but Joe said he would put a TMAP on and I think this is a MAP (no T) instead? I don't know if Joe fitted this sensor or another but if my ecu is set to TMAP and used with this sensor would that have anything to do with it? I PMd Joe this morning to ask what he fitted so waiting to hear back. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181391341928 This is what I told Peter to calibrate the map. "Manifold Air Pressure sensor number and position: LSJ TMAP sensor on the inlet manifold Use Temperature sensor in TMAP for measuring intake air temperature: TMAP"
