I think it's actually just a pipe end piece to be honest rather than a sensor but I'll check. I didn't supply it. I assumes it was the cam breather return pipe.

If it's just piping, we can asume the tmap part is setup correctly.

I'll check when I get home later. I'll pull it out to see.

Bally, cock, arse, bugger w4nk...

Fecking car

So I went to start it this morn and it REALLY didn't want to start. Like I genuinely thought it wasn't going to so on the assumption it's getting worse I thought I'd bunk off work for the day and get it sorted.

Well jacked up, wheel off, arch liner off to get to belt tensioner, belt off then moved onto the fuel rail.

Came out like this

Now if I were lucky I'd hope the missing seal was the cause of the vacuum leak. However I'm not lucky (and I can't believe Vocky / Joe would have missed this) so as I can't see it in the injector hole I'm guessing that's sat in the inlet somewhere... Bally cock fcuk

So carried on to remove the SC, can't find any reason why it shouldn't sit square, however there is a little bit of surface rust round the back left bolt which might hint towards it not having been tight against another surface, the gasket all looks fine with no kinks or anything.

Posted Image

To top it all off in the process of removing the SC I managed to pull of a coolant pipe which proceeded to p*ss coolant into the piston via the injector hole... AAGHHHHHHH.

So questions:

What's the chance of me being able to get the injector seal back out the. Injector hole?
Does anyone have an endoscope or similar near chester I could borrow to see if there even is one in there?
If I need to take the manifold off to get to the seal is this possible with the rear clam on?
What's the best way to get the coolant out the cylinder? How much damage could this do?

For some reason when i removed my NA injectors, nr 1 was burned, and rubber mostly gone.

After swapping black turdo for blue turdo injectors, nr 1 was burned, and rubber mostly gone.

Not saying that's your problem, but if you can't find it, it may have gone up in flames.

For the water in the cylinder if you can take the plug out and turn the engine (by hand) so the piston is at the top I can lend you a pipette.  Chances are its found its way round through the ring gaps though :(  If it's just a splash it'll be fine, if not its time to drop the oil.

On a positive note, you should be able to get the manifold off with the clam on.

Wishful thinking but it's only done about 500 miles with these injectors in and the others looked brand new! :-(

Unless the valve was fully open on that cylinder it will just be in the head runner below the injector port. I once was lucky enough to fish one out with a grabber but it will probably be a manifold off job. Put some Vaseline on the rubber seals when refitting to help them seat and help this from happening again next time.

Good thinking, have a pipette. Don't mind changing the oil, I'll be happy if that's as bad as it goes!

Huh? I've got new injectors going in so I don't need the to ring to use. Just assume it's not good to fire up the engine when it could be inside?!?

Yes blocked unless you have a Saab engine or head.

Nope, no Saab components here. O ring retrieved, gasket cut, manifold back on, SC back on (better but still not 100% convinced as I can still see the green gasket on the bypass part) VXR injectors in the fuel rail. Just need some VXR injector wiring plugs now, any suggestions where I can get some from?

This is the latest from Peter having looked at my log file... "I have had a look at the attached log file, most looks OK, but I see when idling the throttle valve is more closed than normal, this could indicate a vacuum leak somewhere between the throttle valve and cylinder head. I think there should be no fuel smell coming from there, it is supposed to not leak. I did not know they fitted a new pump, this could explain the fuel pressure dropping which can cause the starting problem after the supercharger installation. Measuring the fuel pressure is a good place to start, especially looking how fast the pressure drops after switched off the fuel pump will be interesting to know." Chris P is your fuel pressure ok on the test valve?
