these are dipped, powdercoated too so no paint used.

permanent, won't fade etc. I'll put a tyre on and get a few more pictures.

Carbon has been done to death in the styling department in my opinion.    And then there is the carbon wrapped/dipped stuff

  Rather large BFOD.

BFOD?   even the urban dictionary can't help me here unless you meant i'm "boy friend of the day"?

big fcuk off ding!

Just for a few moments I imagined that Techie was commending his rather large boyfriend of the day to us all. It's a lovely thought. :gayfight:

OP - would be good to see pictures of the wheels on a car, but I suspect I (and my BFOD) would not be keen.

absolutely no different to a standard colour. The same Powdered lacquered is used for protection.

no different to standard...

that'll be poor durability then

and unless ou have 1144's the dust will ruin them anyway.

As i've always said each to their own though, it's just not for me. I'm certainly no Gok Wan of the VX world!!

It does have a time and place, mostly where it is used OEM though.

I agree and not at the same time, Even OEM, hypercar/supercar saved 1kg of pant by not painting it properly....

Just paint it IMO

Don't think you understand.

These have been powdered exactly the same way as what a 'silver' wheel would be.

I don't work nor do these come from TD if that's what you're referring too for poor durability

the standard TD finish/durability isnt exactly "amazing" (I mean its not like they cost much so you cant expect world class finish), so you saying its like standard isnt a great starting point

Now if youve had them refinished elsewhere (as in the WHOLE finish) then I'm sure they will last as long as you favour the company who did the work.

Ah I thought there was a slight confusion.

Yeah they were stripped right back to bare metal. And yes I trust/use them so it's all good

I point you in the direction of the oh so incredibly awesome F40, you can see the weave of the carbon through the paint because they deliberately did it so thin to save weight!

I like them, would be even better if real carbon.. would be worth more than the car itself.

Get them fitted and photo time  B)

Think the old crew really hate cf :P

Peronally I really like bare carbon. The Zondas with it for example look like works of art.

Or our wisdom and highly refined sense of taste tells us that too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Or, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. thumbsup

I've still got some carbon bits in the interior but I did take an inordinate amount of pleasure in buying some new carbon sill covers especially to cover.

The 'naked' Pagani's are indeed a work of art...... but i'll still spec my with paint when i buy one - and then open the clams in private and have a special moment with all that carbon   Phnarr-phnarr

Maybe carbon has turned into a guilty pleasure these days!!

Carbon Fibre for function, acceptable. The bonus is that it looks good.

Carbon Fibre for aesthetic pleasure, waste of time and looks sh*t. Only my opinion of course.
